Hang on this is a whole lotta sharing. - Alexandria, MN Photographer

Well, grab a cup of tea, coffee, margarita, whatever literally fills your cup, floats, your boat, tickles your fancy...ok, you get the idea. Cause there is a whole lotta cuteness coming your way.

It is Miss Hattie's one year photo session, but her big sis was all dressed up ready for her shoot as well.

I can't even handle it.

Anything cuter than chubby little baby arms? I know, I agree..there isn't.

And she just sat in front of me, so seriously, and I really could not help myself. Really I tried, but those cheeks were begging to be squished, and since I had my finger on the trigger finger, well, it is what it is.

But then she did this just minutes later, all on her own.

It was such a lovely spring day, we decided to take a few at the park.

She didn't care for the grass too much...can you tell? That right leg stayed up the WHOLE time. And just putting this out there, this type of unconventional image is perfect for a LARGE stand alone canvas hanging on your wall. It is perfect because it is timeless, shows details of your little one who won't stay little long and acts as art. These honestly are some of my favorites.

Thanks "G" family! Your girls are the sweetest little dollies!!!!

{Good things come in threes} Alexandria MN Photographer

People always say that bad things come in threes...well, I don't know about that. 3 has always been my favorite number, mostly cause my birthday is on a 3rd, but it just always seemed like a good, perfect number....still trying to figure out why we didn't have three kids, I think mainly cause I didn't want to be outnumbered. "You grab one, I got one".

So when Mom Kelli contacted me to do a session with her mom and her daughter last winter...I knew it would be great, not cause of the number three...well if any of you know these three, you know why. You have heard of Lillian's right? The fun, fantastic women's clothing and accesory boutique in downtown Alexandria, right? If you haven't been there before (have you lived under a rock?), tell them....cause they will ring a cowbell and make it known that you are there and they are happy about it, all while shouting something about a Lillian's virgin. :)Anyway...that is why I love these ladies.

Thank you Kelli, Linda & Maddie!!!

{Little Miss} Alexandria, MN Newborn Photographer

Sweet little Charlie came into the studio not long ago, well...her parents brought here she didn't stroll in by herself! So here is a peek just a few of the many images we got that day. Big brother Blake cannot get enough of his new baby sister. He was giving her kisses, which Charlie was "giving" right back! I love to see families grow, in fact here is Blake's newborn session a few years ago. Click HERE. I get many questions about when to schedule newborn photography. And I joke as soon as you see the "+" on the pregnancy test call to book your newborn session (or maternity session as well). But really, newborns are in fact best photographed within the first 12 days after being born. So to make sure we have a date within that time frame, I want parents to book early enough to work in my and your schedule. So if you are pregnant now, book now...one more thing you don't have to think about right before your due date or even after the baby is born.

{Have faith in Me} Central MN family photographer

I have know the L family for a few years now, but over the last 2-3 even better. Their oldest boy and my youngest girl...well, you know like each other. :) And I guess you could say we think pretty fondly of them as well. I can honestly say that I do not know of a family that has more greater strenth, faith, compassion even when all of that is shaken to the core. They have had more than their fair share of bumps in the road of life. But each time, when of those bumps knock them a bit, get up and dust themselves off. They have the best attitude and never have I ever heard "Why me? Why us?" They are believers and followers of God of the truest sense. Always finding the good even in the bad. I know these guys will be alright, cause someone bigger than all of us has their back. And they know it, have witnessed it and are there to share it. It started a few years ago when Katie had an ATV accident and almost was taken from them. Now, she is here in a BIG way. Anyone who knows Katie knows just what I am talking about. Earlier this year she underwent another surgery from her brain injury. Fighting and spunky as ever she came guns-a-blazin'. Well, now we are months out of surgery and she needs to go back next week for another surgery. So, again we all ask for your prayers for her, her strength her family and friends and her entire medical team caring for her every step of the way. You can follow Katie's CaringBridge site HERE. Then this summer this family had some other news...by the grace of God and a heavenly angel, Carl found himself needing heart bypass surgery. This young, health conscience man found out he would be needing surgery, not tomorrow, not the next day, but like yesterday. All said and done, triple bypass. It is a miracle that he is here as well, and you can see, he is doing great...better and better each day. I am so glad when Nancy asked me to capture this crazy crew before school started and the next leg of the journey begins. It was an absolutely gorgeous late summer evening. Just perfect I tell you. And here is the furry member of the family, who gave us all a scare the other day when he went missing. Thankfully, he was picked up and spent the evening in the local Humane Society and was returned to his home and family who love him to pieces. So Carl, Nancy, Nate, Katie, and Nick...and Max too....thank you for being you and in our lives! We love you all! ***Don't be shy...clients love it when you leave comments (and so do I) below.***
