Seriously, I was asked if I have a blog anymore. That is how bad it has gotten. My last post was February...my excuse? Busy, just plain busy. I really don't know how to remedy it, I mean it is a good thing to be. I have soooooo many sessions that I haven't shared, I am embarrassed to tell you how many, so I won't. :)

Hard to believe the school year is coming to end. I think I hear a collective cheer from parents and students alike....and teachers!!

Here is Miss Heidi's session from last early summer. She is a true country girl...complete with belt buckle, plaid shirts, cowgirl boots and all.

I hope your year was awesome and full of fun memories!! Best wishes for your bright future Heidi!

To say Taylor's dad is outnumbered is putting it mildly. But I think he wouldn't want it any other way. Five girls, six if you count his high school sweetie Steph. And a proud dad he is, and almost made me loose it after he teared up during the session for their baby girl is growing up. Sorry Jeff...spillin' the beans here. But I know your pain. It is so exciting yet so hard to see your baby shake off their feathers, ready to take the leap out of the nest. I really think the word "bittersweet" was created for parents embarqing on this chapter in their lives.

So we started out with their family session, which I was told was the only professional family photo they have taken.

And the proud parents. Sorry dad...I had to share it. It was probably one of the sweetest moments I have ever captured. A dad so proud that it can't be contained only in the welling up of tears.

Thanks Taylor.....I hope your year is going fantastic!!! Can't wait to hear about the exciting times you have in store for next year. I wish you the best sweetie!!!

Well, first day of autumn is here in two days. What the??? How does that happen? Like honestly it is like kids just got out of school, we planted some flowers, we went to the beach, and now the leaves are changing. While I welcome change of seasons...but do they have to come so quickly right after one another...except for that old man winter he sticks around and wears out his welcome.

So you ever had those girls in high school that just had it all; talent, beauty, brains...AND they were sweet as apple pie? You hated them right? Just kidding...we didn't. We just wanted whatever they were on!! I always thought there must be something...their feet smell and have gnarly toes, or they are a mouth breather, or something completely horrible like they actually eat the bread crusts...weird stuff, I would convince myself of this. Well, Miss Rachel seems to be one of those girls who have it all. A triple threat as they say.

I absolutely love, love, love her first outfit. Perfectly vintage-ly new. Yes...that is my word, use it how you like.

And the part of my job that is the best. Whenever seniors have a talent they want to capture, I love it...cause guess what, I get my own personal concert, show, whatever it is. Even if it is ontop of a grassy hill drenched in sunlight. I know you are feeling sorry for me right now. But don't because I have been sitting editing at my computer going on 14 hours right now. So, NOW you can feel sorry for me.

Also I should brag a little about Miss Rachel, you might recognize her or know her, she was named Queen of this year's Glenwood's Waterama. Way to go Rachel...what a wonderful honor!

Thanks Rachel and Mom Diane! I had a great afternoon with you two!!

It has been so long ago that I blogged I almost forgot how to. I really love to share images from sessions and share little tidbits from my crazy mind. But I am telling you...this can be a whole other job in itself. And I feel bad many, many of my sessions haven't been shared on the blog or my Facebook page...so I am trying to be better, I just need to clone myself or something.

So here is Miss Carley's session. I have known this little girl when she was a spit fire running all over the place. I think the spit fire is still the same...but I think she doesn't run all over the place anymore. We had a nice chat as we drove to our locations for the evening...it is so fun to see these kids grow into young adults. I am so excited for their future. :)

She did so good, cause it was HAWT (when you add the "w" in there you know it is really bad) and humid. Like most MN summers are.

Luckily we started the session in the cool A/C of the studio for her mommy & me images and some images Carley requested.

It was a beautiful evening as a storm was building over the lake. One side the sun was shining brightly with the dark looming clouds coming in fast.
