The evening of "A's" senior session was filled with a wonderfully lit sky, however there seemed to be a cloud that was bound to ruin our attempts of a photo session. But lucky for us...I carry a large reflector, which is so handy when needing just a little more light on my subject, helps diffuse the sun's harsh rays, and we found out this night...protects from sudden flash downpours when you are standing in a field. I even commented that if we moved 10 feet to the north we would be dry.
So, there we are...A, his mom and me standing together under our make shift umbrella waiting for the drops to subside. Which I wish now I would have taken a photo of...not us huddling there..the rain falling between the green, green trees, highlighted against the sun directly behind this one cloud. It was beautiful. But, I digress, you will have to take my word for it.
This is the light that was directly behind that one cloud, and that one cloud that drifted slowly to the east. The way the sun bounced off it, made that one cloud ☺ as dark as night. Really it was that dark. Which made me a little giddy, as it resulted in a dramatic photo as such.
Thanks A, mom and Mother Nature for an awesome session.
