a fun frozen family.

This family was so fun, I am thankful that I was able to squeeze in this session for them as they were visiting Grandma for Mother's Day from out of state. Sometimes those last minute plans work the best. However, we said we wanted overcast...but no rain. Well, that we got, but we also got really cold weather. I felt bad for everyone as they wanted to appear to be dressed for spring, cause of course that is what it says on the calendar. But we Minnesotans we don't go by no stinkin' calendar. We are our own breed...go against the grain...tough as nails in all weather, well, when there is a warm blanket or winter coat nearby and a hot Caribou something-er other in the car!

The "do-what-you-want" shot. I was surprised no one made a mad dash for the car. But they rocked it out!

We actually should have done that one earlier..cause it did warm them up a bit.

Mom's favorite tree.

And my favorite of the day.

Thanks "V" family. It was great to meet you!

the. perfect. model.

Really...this 2 month old "model" knows how to work a camera and never put up a fuss...the consumate professional model. Never got diva....never had unreasonable demands like some do ;). As Tyra would say..."Fierce".

She knows how to work the latest haute couture.

And when she was exhausted, she just fell asleep..not a peep.
She makes it look so darn easy, right?

And after her 10 minute refresher...she was ready to rock it again. The only thing we were missing was the wind machine...work it baby! Maybe next time.
Anytime you need to work on your "portfolio" K, I would be tickled to help. I totally ♥ you.

exercising restraint....

...from not picking this little cutie-pa-tootie up and putting her in my camera bag to take her home with me. She is absolutely adorable! I would ask Miss "E" if she would like to do something, such as "would you like to come over here and see the acorns on the ground", her response, "yes, I would." So matter-of-factly, that she seemed as if she had been here on this earth more than the two years she has been. She really tried not to make eye contact with my lens, me, no problem, but as with most little ones, the minute that camera comes up, all bets are off on getting face time. Luckily, I have a quick trigger finger.
so sweet.
what girly doesn't love her shoes??

i love this one.
Miss "E", I am sure your mommy and daddy would miss you if I put you in my photo bag and took you home with me. So I will just come to visit again, okay?

Calling all girly girls!

I had the opportunity to meet these lovely ladies at Lillian's of Alexandria's Grand Opening a month ago and it was my pleasure to help them with their photography needs.

"Survey" taken at the premisses was 2 0f the 3 didn't like their photos taken. Well, you would never know it. Cause they rocked it out!

Really, I had a hard time concentrating with all the fabulous purses, scarves, sunglasses, blingage every shiny, pretty object that can stop a girly girl dead in her tracks.
My favorites of the day!

Be sure to stop by this weekend for their second opening at 422 Broadway in downtown Alexandria!
