outside, yet inside your comfort zone {Central Minnesota Photographer}

Miss "A" was like many seniors, unsure of what to do, where to go, how to stand. And like I have told these many...be yourself. And really that is all you can be. Right? Right. So even though for "A", standing in front of a camera wearing something she may or may not have worn "in real life", may be outside of her comfort zone, the results I hope show that she was clearly inside her zone.

I love these, maybe cause they remind me of an advertisment for JCrew or something.

I am jealous. First the fact that I am a really bad skater, and second, we didn't have hockey for girls in high school. I would have still been a bad skater, but in my falling down I probably would have taken down a few of the opponents with me.

Thanks A and mom J.

boy + girl = boy & girl x 2 {Central Minnesota Photographer}

The sum of which what this blog post is about. That is about as close to any Algebra I can do.
First up the "S" family.
Miss "T" had mixed emotions about this photo session business...can you tell?

But brother "T"...not one problem. I rather think he liked it. As many children I photograph find out. Once the sit there and smile ones are over...it's play time. Where all bets are off.

Like even this one. "Hey kids go over there and stand in the door way of an old creepy barn."

And this one. While taking mom & dad's photo, "Hey so something to make your mom & dad laugh!" Only for me to quickly turn the camera on them!

And now the "A" family. Since I post with a certain level of privacy, you will have to take my word for it when I say I love the little ones names. Hint, classic and adorable and one starts with the letter "H" and the other with "J". I know that doesn't help, but whatever.

This is when an older brother will willing kiss his little sister, another year from now, um, not so much.

Miss "J" hadn't mastered walking then, but it certainly didn't stop her from getting around and exploring.

And Mr. "H"...I can say with all certainty his smile is infectious. Cause every time I looked at him, that is just what I did.

Thank you families...still a lot to share.

Special Event Boutique {Central Minnesota Photographer}

Special Event Boutique says all it needs to describe it's business. However, when getting inside and meeting the incredible ladies that make it flow, you will see that the Special comes from the way they make you feel.
I definitely noticed this in how they treated the brides they worked with this particular day, and not a doubt in my mind this is how they treat all their clients every day. The brides entered in the boutique, and their assigned consultants whist them away, like a choreographed ensemble.
I was thrilled when Jodi Meade, owner of the Boutique called me to help her...in her words "make things FABULOUS!" The boutique's new website is up and running. And well, I think it looks FABULOUS! But before you go check it out...Stay here a little longer and enjoy the view.
A few of the wonderful boutique.

And some of the lovely ladies who make all this work.

And the gorgeous brides.

Ok, now you can go check out Special Event Boutique's new website....here.

dug myself in a hole {Central Minnesota Senior Photographer}

Yes, taking a break from the blog maybe not the best idea, however I am getting caught up...well, more so than I was before.
Introducing Miss "A". Seems like forever ago we had her session, and it probably was. I do know it was a beautiful fall day and it's obviously a beautiful young lady.

Thank you A and Mom D!!!

totally awesome family {Central Minnesota Family Photographer}

Ok, not like in an 80's totally awwwwesome family, just a regular totally awesome family. I had the pleasure of getting this family in front of my camera again...it had been a couple years.

Thank you guys!

geez...almost forgot how to blog {Central Minnesota Senior Photographer}

For example, when I went to log in to post, blogger said, "Who in the world are YOU?". So, I hope to be back to normal. Ummmmmm, whatever that means.
Meet Miss "F". Stunning & Striking. Is what she is. And, who happens to be very nice, sweet and funny.

Favorite of the day.

Thank you Mom and "F".

i am back. {Central Minnesota Family Photographer}

Whew! I needed to take a break from the blog to focus all the sessions that were waiting for me on my computer...oh, and the patient clients were waiting too. But, now I am reeeeeeeally behind on the blog. Maybe I should have thought that one over a bit. ☺
Here are a couple families from the earlier part of the fall...when it was actually sunny and warm.
First, Little Miss Strawberry.

She definately was working it for me. She was named Little Miss Strawberry for the berry festival by Holmes City Berries, a local berry farm. Part of her winnings was this photo session and the lovely tiarra she is modeling.
And we couldn't leave her siblings out.

back in a bit {Central Minnesota Photographer}

In the effort to get editing caught up, I have to take a break from the blog updates. I have a bunch of new stuff that needs to be uploaded on here, but I have even more sessions to get to yet. So....please keep checking. Those of you patiently waiting for your images to be posted...I promise they will. And those of you patiently waiting for your galleries to be up...I promise they will. The blog will be back in a bit.

trying to keep it cool {Central Minnesota Senior Photographer}

It was a lovely fall Tuesday morning. These days I loooove. The farm was quiet and still a perfect day for a photo session with Miss "A".

So completely natural.

Just a little something fun.

To think that light like this can only come in the late afternoon. Nope, early morning is a wonderful time to shoot a session.

But at this point is when I lost my cool...no, I didn't get mad and nor do I think that I have a lot of "cool" to lose. But as I was framing the shot in that series, I felt something at my foot, I looked down only to see and feel a snake slither across my right foot. Yes, perfectly harmless, yes, my logical brain tells me that, but needless to say....I lost my cool. Poor "A", had no idea what was making me wig out. So sorry "A", that you had to witness that first hand. ☺ Then it was back to being professional me, without my cool.
