Happy Halloween!

Here is my girls and our annual taking-a-photo-with-our-carved-pumpkins photo.
And on to another really cutie... Miss "T".

The fall color was just starting to peak. Really gorgeous.

Thanks T. Also thanks to your Mom for being my assistant and another thanks to you for your assistance at "K" session which I will share in the near future!

my other kids...

I have known these kids all their lives... I know they are little still, yes, Miss "K" you still are and will always be little to me. She started in my daycare when she was 6 months old. And a few years later, her brother "M" came along. Then a few years after him came "P". This session was just how I like it with older kids; mom & dad came along, but let me and the kids take off to work the photos. Kids are typically better when parents aren't around... I even found this out while doing daycare years ago. And it is a surprise, not to mention, we get to do the goofy things that some parents, think "What?!" that end up turning out the best.

I loved these next two.

I couldn't resist.
Now time to show other photos I have taken of these kiddos...but from a long time ago (please forgive the bad scans).
First comes Miss K. I have many, many other photos of her, but being the age she is now, I don't think she would appreciate those kind of embrassing photos. This is her graduating pre-school.
Next, "M". I laughed cause a lot of the photos I have of him look just like this.
And "P". He even had that "guilty grin" back then too.
Here is a photo with the ones that were there that day for P's bday. See the boy in the back on the right? That is "Z". Yep, just took his photo not too long ago...I will be sharing that session soon.
Looking back at these, seem like forever ago to me. I love my "second" families.

Oh so tiny...

....who was very nosey. Little "K" was so interested in what we were doing that he never slept the whole almost 3 hours I was there. And for being only 2 weeks old...most don't care what others are doing.
He gave me a lot of this...
If you think...ha! he is asleep...you would be wrong. He just shut his eyes for a long second.
Congratulations little "O" family. Can you tell he is loved?
Oh yes.

Congratulations!

I wanted to post this last week...but my schedule is so crazy I didn't have time. So, last week my sister-in-law was honored and named as this year's AAA BPW's Woman of the Year (Business & Professional Women is a national organization that Nan and I among many, many others locally belong to, and in fact Nan is the President of our local chapter...our link is here)
So, it is always a big surprise to everyone when the honor is announced at our luncheon. The only ones who know are the committee that selects the Woman of the Year and a few family members....well, except for me that is. :) So, Wednesday late morning...I was getting ready to leave the clinic to go to the luncheon, I asked Nan if she needed a ride. Sure, she says. We drove past Washington school, as we normally take that path from the clinic to the luncheon/meetings. And then she sees them...her children being lead out of the school by her older/college-aged children. B-U-S-T-E-D! They were heading to the luncheon to be part of the surprise. She knew right away (as did I), but...my heart sunk to my toes and her's leapt for joy! This meant the jig was up..she knew at that moment, she is the Woman of the Year! She tells me she wouldn't have wanted it any other way. But we have had a few good laughs. Next time family....TELL ME! After all, I have nominated her for three years in a row now.... ;)

Happy Birthday to her and to my other sister-in-law. Yes, Nan and Sheila were born a year apart on the October 27. Can you imagine... a one year old and a newborn???? Love you two!

returning clients...

...in a few ways.
This is the very busy, always running in different directions "A" family. Sounds like us all I know. But, trying to find a date for them was...well, it wasn't easy. I did their Christmas photos last year, and "J"....you may remember him from just a few weeks ago for his senior session.

There may have been an inside joke that they are laughing at, or it may have been me, I would like to think is was me, I think I can be funny, but sometimes maybe I am just a big dork...whatever it was...it made for a great photo. These are always the best.

Thanks guys...I had fun again, even though the mosquitoes ate us alive.

Beautiful senior, awesome location.

Miss "K".

Told you it was a great location.

Told you she is a beautiful senior.

This location was perfect. I do many sessions at my grandparents farm, and it is perfect too, although, it is nice to change it up a bit. And when we walked around the corner of the barn and saw this....I was like "Jackpot!"

The flirty and fun stuff.

Thanks K and Mom....I really did have a blast avoiding traffic, climbing under barbed wire, hip deep in weeds. All in the effort of beautiful photos.....I LOVE my job!

Please go vote for my daughter.

My 14 year old is a singer/songwriter/guitar player. We submitted a video of her for Oprah's Most Talented Kid Search. Please go to www.oprah.com click on the tab "Oprah's Search for the World's Smartest and Most Talented Kids", you will then see some videos, click to see more videos. Kalee's video is titled "You Bring Me to My Knees". Please take the time to vote or comment. You need to create an account or log in...which takes no time at all.

Thank you!!!!!!!!

Such a nice family..

This is the "D" family. Mom scheduled this session months in advance...and turned out to have really nice weather. It was a little bright that morning, but no rain. Everyone did such a great job...and everything went so smooth we were done in no time flat!

Thanks guys!!
Again, I just want to say thank you to all my clients for your patience. I have been swamped with sessions and editing. Some family priorities has me out of town a few days a week, and to top it off I am having some health issues...nothing major...just taking me out once in a while. I really hate to throw excuses around, but for those who are wondering how the photos are turning out..I am now editing sessions that took place the week of Sept. 15.
Also, I have had many people tell me they want to book a session for Christmas...I have one thing to say to that...book it now! ;) The deadline to ensure Christmas delivery is December 5. Sessions booked after that date will have no guarantee for Christmas delivery. If you are looking to do Christmas cards with the session, then you need to book before November 26. It is coming fast!!!!
Those of you who did spring, summer, or fall sessions that are done...be sure to check out my Christmas card gallery on my website.
This is Jennifer Guenther, and I approve this message....aren't you just sick of it all????

16 years today.

Happy Anniversary honey. Wow. Can you believe it? Can you believe my eyebrows? Love you!

Normally I like my clients to have their very own post, but since today is special, "B"...you'll have to share!

I love this one. Being a Cardinal...back in the day (well, not too far off from the wedding photo). It is so cool, Alex Cards really do have great school spirit!

Thank you B, it was great to meet you. You are a smart, confident kid who I know will go onto to great things.

race against the sun...

We had a great sesssion with great locations...however, it was a race against the dropping sun.
But it gave some amazing light.

She has the most beautiful eyes. Lucky girl.

Thanks Miss "K".

Smart, talented, a gentleman, funny, sweet...

...did I mention good looking too. Yep, the whole package.

I love it when I get to go to an "outta the norm" place for sessions. Thinkin' outside of the box...it's a really good thing.

Forgoing a Saturday morning sleep-in is sometimes worth it. Thanks "P" and Mom.
