Merry Christmas!

You may think that it is too early to be thinking of Christmas, but it is exactly the right time to schedule your family session for your Christmas cards. I have a number of clients that have been asking me about my Christmas cards this year. So I thought I better get it together and showcase a few.
I really love the variety. There really is something for everyone.
Here are just a few samples. Check the rest out on my website. I have added a new gallery for cards and announcements. Many of the cards can be "tailored" with one, two, three or even four image options. Visit my site by clicking here.

I was smiling (and giggling) the whole time...

...I was editing this last session. This incredibly cute, funny, loving family made the treck from deep in the heart/heat of Texas for a photo session....ok, ok, they really came to visit their family but I got the opportunity to meet them! Not only were they so funny, they were so polite. I lived in the south for a few years and when Mom & Dad called me Miss Jen, my heart melted. I just love that...something we should definately adapt here. Some have you noticed on this blog that I have tried to implement a long standing southern tradition/hospitality by referring to my client by "Miss or Mr.". I just love it.
Without further ado the "B" family...

Mom & Dad wanted to break up the two sessions as not too put too much on the kids for a long day. They came back the next day, and did such a great job. I was laughing the whole time.

This is Mr. "I". This cutey was clearly the spotlight stealer! He was just a ham!

Sweet Miss "E". She was so quiet and such a good listener. She is so adorable, I could have picked her up and put her in my camera bag to take home.

Mr. "A", again, he was very quiet and super sweet, very handsome. The little girls will have the phone ringing off the hook in a few short years from now.

Ok, I took a few with them looking of into the distance...then I said "turn around to look at me". And this is what "I" gave me!! I just cracked up!

Thanks "B" family. You are a wonderful, patient, caring family who loves each other very much, so much that any "outsider" can see and feel it. Thank you.

having too much fun...

...explains me on this senior session... not only cause "E" was cool, funny, and laid back. But because she was up for anything when it came to her session. We started out downtown. Sooo many awesome alley's, niches, stores/storefronts that look like they were made for photo sessions. It is also neat to see Alex's history in all these places. Makes me think about what it was like 100 years ago here, and what these buildings were used for and where doorways led to.

This shot is my favorite of the day.

Another favorite...

Thanks "E"...it was a hot, humid, miserable day..but I hope you had fun.

And they keep comin'...

This is Miss "H". Another beautiful senior... another beautiful day.
I think it is so funny that whenever I say "senior session", some people give me a funny look and ask, "you're taking pictures of a senior...like as in senior citzen?". I just laugh and say "yeah, it is the hottest trend."

She is pretty brave to sit down in wet sand and in white shorts. What we won't do for an awesome beach shot!

Alrighty then...off to another fantastic senior session... sharing soon.

more to share...

This is "T". And another real hot, humid day. We had a nice time. She is a very mature, nice young lady. Mom & Dad are proud I am sure.

No, we didn't plan to match the beautiful flowers hanging downtown. But it sure looked like we did.

I really like this shot. Maybe my favorite of the day.

This dock went on forever. You can see it behind her and we are about half way down it too! Just gorgeous!

Thanks "T" for a very nice, laided back session.

on a roll...

Ok this last week or two has well, really kicked my butt. July was crazy busy with session (August is just as busy, but I have things a little more managed as I am not running the girls all over town as much). To top it all off, our car died, so being down one vehicle was enough to add 14 more gray hairs. So, as I take a deep breath, dust myself off, roll up my sleeves..I am on track again. So to my clients...thanks for your patience!
Here is Miss "H". Doesn't she have absolutely gorgeous blue eyes?!

The sun was so bright, the bugs were so bad, but she was such a tropper.

total cuties...

These little men were just as cute as can be. The session started being perfectly cloudy and totally overcast skies (for a photographer..we like this type of weather..for sessions that is).
And half way into it, it was like a wall of sunshine, heat and humidty all came down.

These two were so fun and the way I really like to shoot a session. Just following little ones around. Not much for posed, stand here, smile now and I will click. Maybe just one once in a while, just to get the two of them together.
At first like most they are shy, but after showing me their rooms, house, yard, shed, playground, the bees, the porch, they warmed up just fine. So much in fact, "C" asked me to go to the beach with them to play after the session. Now that was quite an honor for me, very tempting as it was soooo hot and humid, but I figured Mom would like to spend time with just them. ;) Thanks for making my day though.
Here you go... some images of the day
.

Another senior...

This is "D".

We went to this lake location...totally awesome place to be. I could just pitch a tent right in the sand and call it a day...every day. It was picture perfect calm.
I almost fell over when I saw his car and he said he would like photos taken with it...the reason...it looks idential to our car when I just my license. I thought it may be, but I checked the drivers back fender, no dent from when I backed into a sign. Good memories, bad repercussions.

Take care D. You are such a nice young man.

Marathon session...

For them and me.
A friend of mine needed photos of her boys that are graduating next year and over due family portraits as well. When the graduate end up being a plural and add a family session, going though all those photos is enough to make my eyes crossed. But I narrowed it down (whew) and got a bunch of really nice shots. Here's the family...

And the boys...

I love that when twins have their own look, personality, and interests. So many think that just cause they are twins that they should be identical in every way. Nope, they are indiviuals that just happen to look alike. There is my philosophy for the day!

Thanks everyone!
