so proud....

today was a fun day. a local dj asked to have my 14 year old daughter on his morning show to perform some of her songs she writes and composes. she did 3 of her own songs, and one from a band that i would only ever know because of her and all the music she discovers somewhere...the internet, of course.
it was so cool as we got in the car to take off, there it was...one of her songs on the radio for us to hear. it was very different to hear it on the radio, we both looked at each other with a tear in our eyes. i can't tell you what a blessing this day was for her, most muscians wait for years and years to hear their song on the radio, we were blessed that Tom-e (kxrz) heard her and invited her on the show. she (the rest of us too) will remember this forever. thanks Tom-e-Lee...we had a blast!

a shy little sweetie pie.

Here is some from a session a few weeks ago. It was during that rainy spell...when the sun didn't come out for like 3 months...or so it felt like it.

This is little Miss "G". She was pretty shy in front of the camera. I did manage to get a few little grins. So we did what we could inside and then headed outside. To the wet rain. Miss "G" didn't seem to mind the rain, just me following her around with camera, ready and aim.

remember this lil' pumpkin'?

Well, last time she really wasn't impressed by me. At 3months, most aren't. But at 6months...a good game of peek-a-boo behind a camera can manage to squeak a grin or two. But I have to give most of the credit to mom, and dad even prompted a great big smile.

Can you imagine how you would feel if everyone gave you that big grin when all you did is walk in the room. What a beautiful world this would be.

Little Miss "T" was getting good practice in sitting that day. Just a little toople once in a while, Mom was a good catch.

And not only is the next one my favorite of the day, this goes into my favorites of all time. Gotta love a chick who can work a camera.

Thanks "D" family. Can't wait to see her in another 3 months.

there's a new "kid" in town....ok, not a kid...

best wishes to Definitive Woman Magazine. this is a brand new magazine in the area, we have needed something like this for a very long time. i am proud of strong, smart, successful (not in the financial means either) women in general, but to see it highlighted locally...it is really great. i am also proud that i contributed in a small way. a while ago a local business woman asked me to help show her talent and business. i have shared those images a while ago on this blog. well, recently Marliyn of For Your Spirit contacted me that DW magazine would be doing an article about her and she would like my help for taking the photos. absolutely! ok, i will fast forward...DW's first magazine is out and it looks great! here are some shots of the article. thanks Marilyn and thanks DW!

Graduation Time!

Oh, yes we are in the midst of petite ham sandwiches, cheese trays, pickle platters, and yummy sheet cakes. Graduation time! Bring it on I say! To celebrate the recognition that is well deserved ...here is to you Grads.
These are a few samples of my graduation open house announcements (dates and schools are changed for privacy).

I recently had an ad in the local paper and a mass mailing for new seniors... the phone has been ringing like crazy! I can't wait to meet the Grads of 2009! If you haven't booked yet, call soon, times are fillin' fast.
Thanks to all my 2008 Seniors, God Bless you in your journey.
