Happy Turkey Day!

But mostly Happy Be Thankful Day.
I am thankful for...
God.
My husband & my girls & my dog.
My family & friends.
My health.
My warm home.
My job.
My husband's job.
My creativity.
Happiness, craziness, hope, joy and love.
What are you thankful for?

makin' it your own...

Another senior...This is "J". Just a really nice young man...quiet, friendly, and I can tell a sense of humor and you will see why in a bit.

Yep, this is where the sense of humor came out. He asked to take a photo with his car...er...mini van. He said I have to do this for the "guys". Then I promptly said, if you are going to pose with your car ;) you have to give me some attitude and work it. And he did.

Great job J.

just chatting away...

I had such a fun, laided back session with Miss "M". It was like a day outside (in the cold) with a friend, except I took photos. M is just a sweetie and I love her style. And her glasses...gotta get me some of that.

And one for fun... I love this one!

Thanks again M...I really did have a good time gabbin' with you.

young love...

I had a session with the cutest, funest, funniest, most loving couple. The love the two of them share is palpable. I love my job, especially when I can peer into relationships even if it is just for a bit. And especially when it is this good.
I hope I am still around in 40 years to recreate this capture for them. I will probably have to fumble with my cane and camera...but it will be worth it.
By the way this darling couple is Andy & Megan.

These were so funny...we had some competition while doing this series.
A little heckling from the guys hanging out.
I really didn't give them a lot of direction...but in this case I told Andy to give Megan a hug...this is what I got. Or should I say this is want she got...a headlock.

Thanks guys! I had a blast with you...thanks for being such troopers. It was 34 degrees and it was the first time I ever had to photoshop goosebumps!

I am back in the land of the slow moving..

Thank you to everyone for your prayers, well wishes, and visits. I really appreciate it all. I am doing better. Surprisingly, my brain was moving about as fast as my body..powerful drugs they have these days! So, I am now slowing getting back to "normal"...yes, a relative term, hense the quotes.
I will be returning to regular-non-scheduled blogging now. I have lots to share, so don't go too far.
Meet "M".
I still get shivers when I look at this session...It was FREEZING! And the quickest senior session I have ever had because of it. I don't think we could feel our faces when we were done....and this was the last week of October!!
Favorite of the day...cause it has sunflare...love sunflare and it looks like it was actually a warm fall day.
Thanks guys.

away for a bit...

I will be away from the computer and email for a few days. I will return emails Friday or Saturday.
Thank you.

For my listening and viewing ;) pleasure.

I am a huge fan of David Cook. So, it was like a holiday for me today to buy his new cd that dropped today. Go buy your copy now cause I am not sharing mine.

WHEW!

OK! I am back.
I have just been doing marathon senior sessions, shooting and editing. I either looking through the viewfinder of my camera or sitting at the computer.
This is Miss...can you guess?
I have been waiting for a senior with a "K" name all summer, just so I could do this shot!

Really no rest for the weary, back to editing. Families, corporate, babies...oh my!
Thanks Miss K and Miss T (a previous senior from the summer) for coming to be my assistant!

No time.....

Sorry guys I will have massive posts soon. I am in the throws of senior session rush! Also, I will be having surgery next week (no biggie...just gonna take out that darn gall bladder that doesn't work so great anymore). So seniors hang in there...I will get 'em done. Promise. Families, businesses...just a bit longer. Thanks for your patience.
Later.

I can't believe she is a senior...

I have known "C" for a very long time...in fact when she had curly hair in pigtails is how I remember her the most. I even have photos of that...but I won't share them..today anyway.;)

She has grown into a beautiful young woman...inside and out. Thanks C!! Kalee is happy too that I got these done...she would pop in and check it out on my computer and say "Oh, she is so cute". I agree.

"Trick or Treat...I'm a scary, zoombie, dead girl"

This was response to "What are you supposed to be?" I thought it was quite obvious.
This is my daughter, who is a scary, zoombie, dead girl. Not really.

Love you D!
My older daughter didn't dress up, but still went trick or treating. I told her, don't come to our house, "No costume, no candy". But since I love her too, she got candy anyway.

Sneak peek

Hey Miss "R"! I loved this session...the light was awesome, you are beautiful, you had great ideas and insight of what you wanted out of the session. I appreciate that.

I love the adding the personality to portraits through people's interests and passions.

I have to tell you R and her mom came across the boarder from ND to have her session. I am always flattered/honored when people choose me to do their photos, but when they travel a distance... it really feels good.

So sweet and so smart. So, when you have MD behind your name, I hope you live close, I will be calling you up.

Easy as that..

I love the look and the ease of a canvas prints. No frame, clean lines, just hang it. A client just ordered these when I told her those words. These are a 11x14 in size, but you can do even bigger to a 24x36.

I will be adding some other fun merchandise soon like albums, and standout prints. Stay tuned or email me to find out more.
I am now editing sessions from end of Sept to first week of Oct. I slipped a little behind again as there is a last minute rush for some senior sessions. I am hoping that I will get caught up on a few sessions this weekend. Thanks for your patience.

A walk in the woods...

...Miss "E's" family has such a nice property. They have this great "backyard" that is acres of beautiful forest, downed moss-laded trees, sunbeams, tall grasses, and perfect trails. It was almost magical. And a photographers dream when you have this location, and having a subject of your portraits that looks like this...well, let's just say it was a good day.

I must be so blessed not only do I have the nicest clients in town, they are all easy on the eyes. Lucky me.
